Our History

In 1999 Bright Kids was started by Tricia Wellings from a spacious house converted into a nursery in Studley, Warwickshire. This was soon expanded to include a unique Out of School Club facility. We have grown steadily since, continually refining and improving our quality childcare formula whilst also responding to increasing demand for flexible out of school care. We thus extended our traditional nursery care model to provide wrap-around childcare for 0 – 12 year olds on one safe and secure site.

Building on this successful model we opened a 47-place nursery in September 2001, at Crabbs Cross, Redditch. Using our successful model, this was followed by the opening of a 24-place Out of School Club the following year,

In the summer of 2004 we acquired a third setting based in Northfield, Birmingham. With a total registration for 80 children it is able to cater for up to 64 nursery children and 16 Out of School children again using our unique childcare model

Since then we have also opened further Out of School Clubs within schools,  close to a nursery. In 2006 at Studley Infants, close to Studley nursery; and in 2011 Wigwam based at Wychall Primary School, close to Northfield nursery.

Our latest venture has been the opening of an Out of School Club at Matchborough First School Academy in January 2014.

We continue to invest in our staff and infrastructure so we can maintain our high quality standards and allow the children in our care to maximise their individual learning.

All our sites are supported by our Group Head Office Team headed up by Tricia Wellings.
